HERE Ministries was officially founded in May 2019 by Stacy Mowry.  After getting diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2017, she soon faced surgery and chemotherapy for 10 months. During this time, many people stepped up to help her and her family with countless needs.  Whether it was cooking meals, caring for her children, or prayers and words of encouragement. It was then she realized this was a family illness as their whole lives were turned upside down. 

Once all her treatments were completed, Stacy felt the calling to give back and help families facing a cancer or other serious illness diagnosis. With HERE Ministries in the early stages, she began by focusing on the specific needs each patient and their family may have. Each family’s needs are different when going through a serious health issue. With that in mind, Stacy began making personalized care packages for patients and their families. Next, she was able to unite patients and help give them the support they needed with monthly support groups. Times like these are difficult and it’s important that patients know they are not alone. With a serious medical condition comes serious financial burdens as well. That’s why Stacy also wanted to be able to help with some of the financial burdens placed on families.

Our desire at HERE Ministries is to help with some of the burdens families are facing.  With meeting these needs we hope to help, encourage, restore, and educate patients in need.  At HERE Ministries, we believe in the power of prayer and that full restoration comes from Jesus Christ and the hope found in Him.  Each board member has had their own personal journey of a time in which God placed someone to help them meet their needs during an uncertain time. Each person has a desire to give back to help others.  We pray that God continues to use HERE ministries to bless those in need and to grow this ministry so we may help all in need and show the love of Christ to all.
